Outstanding entrepreneur in Chinese brand building, Chairman of Yaqi Group in Hong Kong, recipient of the "MH Medal of Honor" from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from Western Pacific University in the United States. He has successively served as a member of the International Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong Regional Committee, a director of the Hong Kong Chinese Manufacturers Association, the chairman of the Hong Kong Wong Tai Sin Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Jiangmen Municipal Political Consultative Conference, a standing committee member of the Kaiping Municipal Political Consultative Conference, and the chairman of the Hong Kong Kaiping Tonghui.

Dr. Tan went to Hong Kong to make a living in 1957 and started working as an apprentice in plastic machinery at the age of 16. Six years later, he started his own business. Founded in 1974, Yaqi Group has been dedicated to the research and development of blow molding machinery for decades. In 1998, he returned to his hometown and invested in the construction of Yaqi Industrial City, which expanded to an annual output value of 150 million yuan in 2002. The group's technology continues to break through, and in 2000, it developed the first efficient bottle blowing machine in Southeast Asia, with a production efficiency increase of 35%. It has repeatedly won the "Hong Kong Industry Award" and achieved dual leadership in technology and market. Nowadays, Yaqi Group is one of the largest global manufacturers of blow molding machines. Yaqi blow molding machine has become one of the world's advanced blow molding machinery, and its products are widely trusted by domestic and foreign customers.

Dr. Tan is a successful entrepreneur and a well-known philanthropist. He has served as the president of the Hong Kong Kaiping Fellow Association for over 20 years, dedicated to promoting Kaiping fellow townspeople's love for Hong Kong and their hometown, connecting with fellow townspeople, fostering friendly relationships, mutual assistance and love, seeking common welfare, as well as promoting trade, commerce, manufacturing, and other industries operated by Kaiping fellow townspeople, advocating and promoting education, and making significant contributions.
